These Terms of Service govern your use of Home Services For U. By creating an account or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

What Home Services For U is

Home Services For U is an independent online marketplace that connects residents with local home-service professionals across the United States. We provide the platform only — we do not perform the home services ourselves. Any agreement for work is directly between the resident and the vendor they choose.

Accounts

You must provide accurate, current information when you create an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account. Vendor profiles are reviewed by our team before they are listed, and we may decline, suspend, or remove a listing at our discretion.

Bookings and payments

Residents request and pay for services through the platform. Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on the service, you may be charged a deposit at the time of booking with the remaining balance due after the work is completed. Prices are set by vendors.

Platform fee

Residents pay no platform fee for using Home Services For U. Vendors are charged a 10% platform fee on completed bookings. After the platform fee and payment-processing fees, the remaining amount is paid out to the vendor's connected Stripe account.

Cancellations and refunds

Bookings can be rescheduled or cancelled from the app. Refunds on a cancelled booking depend on timing: cancelling 24 or more hours before the scheduled service is eligible for a full refund; cancelling between 2 and 24 hours before is eligible for a 50% refund; cancelling less than 2 hours before is non-refundable.

Vendor obligations

Vendors are responsible for being legally able to provide their services, for holding any licenses, permits, and insurance required for their work, and for completing Stripe Connect onboarding in order to receive payouts. Vendors must perform booked services competently and as described in their listings.

Reviews and user content

Reviews and ratings must be honest and based on genuine bookings. You must not post content that is unlawful, infringing, misleading, or abusive. We may remove content that violates these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform, including by committing fraud, harassing other users, scraping or copying data, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the platform. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, timeliness, or legality of services provided by vendors. Any dispute about the work itself is between the resident and the vendor, although we will assist where we reasonably can.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Home Services For U is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to your use of the platform or any service booked through it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
